I came as a guest. What struck me first was a balance you rarely find, a building large enough to impress and intimate enough to feel like it had a personality.
I did not set out to document the hotel. There are enough beautiful hotels. I wanted the atmosphere the building made around itself, the thing you feel before you can name it.
I followed the light through the property. The textures. The small considered details. The work became less about rooms and more about the mood that moved through them.
I left thinking about how the most convincing luxury says the least.
