I went because I am drawn to places where design, culture and ordinary life seem to hold each other in balance. Copenhagen is one of the few that does it without seeming to try.
Not the landmarks. The pace. I wanted the city as it actually lives, early light in coffee shops, the muted architecture, the steady movement of cyclists through considered streets.
I shot the rhythm rather than the sights. Mornings more than monuments. The atmosphere I kept returning to was quiet, intentional and deeply human.
The beauty of Copenhagen is not in any single place. It is in the rhythm of an ordinary day.
